To assess damage, or to ensure repair success, see if the console charges properly on both sides of the USB C port.
The console will either pull 0v, 0a, or a very low current if the charging port is damaged, although this could indicate a variety of issues beyond this.
An adequate soldering iron and hot air station is required for this repair
